Perpetual Adoration

Catholic Communities of Prayer has also been formed to respond to Pope Benedict XVI’s call for Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration. CCOP's Schools of Prayer will highly encourage active participation in Eucharistic Perpetual Adoration by all. Significant time spent in adoration has to be a part of the lifestyle for anyone seeking to know Jesus intimately. We cannot develop a close relationship with family or friends, unless we spend time with them. It is the same with God.
Lectio Divina in Perpetual Adoration:
CCOP's Schools of Prayer will not only help parishes promote perpetual adoration, but will also train the community how to pray in silence before the Lord. As part of the training we offer, we emphasize teaching people how to focus their thoughts on God and meditate on Scripture. Meditation and Lectio Divina (the meditation on the Word of God) are key elements that must be practiced if people really want to open themselves up and allow Christ to transform their hearts. CCOP can work with any Parish to help establish an ever-growing environment of Adoration that will in hope lead to a culture of devotion and prayer.
