Perpetual Praise
“We intend in a very particular way to bring about in the Church a movement of prayer, placing 24-hour continuous Eucharistic adoration at the centre, so that a prayer of adoration, thanksgiving, praise, petition, and reparation, will be raised to God, incessantly and from every corner of the earth.” - Congregation of Clergy
"Let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God." - Hebrews 13:15
Finally, Catholic Communities of Prayer has been formed to establish perpetual Eucharistic praise and worship throughout the Church. In addition to silent adoration of Christ in the tabernacle, vocal and musical prayers and praise must be given to Him unceasingly day and night. Unending night and day praise to the Lord has had a significant role in the Catholic Church. Now is the time to restore this forgotten treasure. CCOP's Schools of Prayer will encourage and train the community in Perpetual Praise.
Awakening of the Liturgy of the Hours:
CCOP's Schools of Prayer will help any parish community establish perpetual praise.
- CCOP believes that an awakening of the Liturgy of the Hoursusing singing and music as intended is a key part in helping bring about this movement of prayer.
- CCOP will train musicians, singers, and readers so that this Divine Office can be something not only done by Priests and religious but cherished and enjoyed by all the faithful.
Restoration of the Tabernacle of David:
CCOP realizes that the great Psalms were written in the Tabernacle of David where there was an environment of 24/7 night and day praise worship before the Lord. It is CCOP’s mission to restore this fallen Tabernacle of David. The Lord has promised that He will raise it up again, “After this I shall return and rebuild the fallen hut of David; from its ruins I shall rebuild it and raise it up again.” (Acts 15:16)
